End-User License Agreement

LICENSE VS LEASE VS SALE:
The contents of each multitrack riddim (all sounds, samples, and loops) are licensed for your use, not sold, not leased. The license is non-exclusive, which means that other people may use the same music for their projects. All rights not expressly granted to the end-user are reserved. Only the original purchaser of a multitrack riddim license has the right to use the included files. They are not transferable

NUMBER OF USES PER LICENSE:
The files may be used as many as two times: one time only with vocals and one additional time as a dub or instrumental. Further, if only the drums are used, the end-user forfeits the use of the other files. One song per license plus the accompanying dub or instrumental. If you want to produce an album with multiple singers on the same riddim, you must purchase one license per singer. Quantity discounts are available.

HOW THE MUSIC CAN BE USED:
The end-user’s musical composition may be used for advertisements, soundtracks, music releases, television or film productions.

HOW TO PROPERLY CREDIT THE MUSICIANS AND COMPOSERS:
The end-user must give credit to the original musicians and the legal Composer of the music. This information can be found on the website or you may contact us at credits@riddimBank.com.

PERFORMING RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS:
All music at riddimBank.com is registered with a Performing Rights Organization. While you are free to use this music as your own and register yourself as the “Songwriter," you may not claim the copyright as its “Composer." You must credit the “Composer” when you release your song or register it for copyright protection. If you register anyone else as the "Composer," you may be blocked or have legal action brought against you by the managing Performing Rights Organization.

NON-COMPETE:
The content is licensed for both commercial and non-commercial use. However, it can not be used in the creation of any competitive product such as Construction Kits, Sample Packs, Virtual Instruments or any other collection of sound or loop content in any format.

RESELLING IS PROHIBITED:
The end-user may not re-sell any portion of this collection, or pass on to a third party. This license is non-transferable. All copying, lending, duplicating, re-selling, renting, uploading, file sharing, or unauthorized trading of this content, in whole or in part, is prohibited by international copyright law.

Questions:

Can I use a riddim more than one time? The License for each multitrack riddim is for one song and one optional instrumental or Dub version. If you want to record multiple artists on one piece of music (like in a various-artists-on-one-riddim type of album), you must purchase multiple licenses. These can be purchased with a quantity discount.

Can I Buy a riddim so nobody else can use it? Not at this point. We may offer that service in the future.

Can I Lease a riddim? No. We won't be offering a Lease option at riddimBank

What's the difference between Licensing, Leasing, and Buying? Great question. At riddimBank, we decided early on to make it as easy as possible for singers and producers to make professional music. We decided to allow customers to "License" rather than "Lease" or "Buy" riddims.

"Licensing" means that you can use the music one time and you pay one time.
Pro: One transaction and simple terms
Con: One use may disappoint customers
Con: Others may use the same music on their projects

"Leasing" means you can use a piece of music multiple times but you have to also pay multiple times after the lease (typically one year) expires.
Pro: Lower initial price.
Pro: Unlimited number of uses (like in a various-artists-on-one-riddim type of album)
Con: A Lease must be renewed every year (more paperwork and challenges for both parties)
Con: If a Lease is not renewed, it could end up with legal challenges or in court.

"Buying" means that only you can use the music, and you can use it as often as you wish.
Pro: Unlimited uses
Pro: No recurring fees
Pro: Nobody else will use the same music on their project
Con: More expensive

What Do I Get?

Free Studio Time (almost)

One of the biggest expenses when recording a song is the studio time. We rented the studio so you don't have to.

Not everyone can afford Professionals for their projects. Many may not even know where to go to find them. We've taken care of all of that for you.

Drag-and-Drop Multitrack Files

We've prepared every riddim to be as simple as possible for you to get professional results. Literally drag-and-drop the files into your Audio Software and you're good to go.

All Files are 24 bit (High Resolution)

Every individual audio file is provided in 24-bit resolution. This is the same audio quality used in state-of-the-art recording studios.

Every Track is Cleanly Recorded

Every track was painstakingly recorded with quality microphones in a pristine studio environment.

Every Track is Edited

Every instrument has been edited so you don't have to spend time getting rid of excess noise, or pops and clicks.
